William Friedson
I've been playing jazz and improvizing for over twenty years. My Jazz studies really got started in New York (in the 90's) with teachers there and at Manhattan School of Music. I've played in clubs and Hotels from New York to Mexico City and Brazil. This is my basis for my jazz compositions (as it is for most jazz composers). My original tunes have been recorded; such as Small Town Blues (Martinworks Label), and the one you are listening to "I've Loved but Not Like This". I also compose sambas, "out" pieces--and arrangements for larger groups. Presently, I'm working on a commissioned operatic score with some jazz influences.
